About the Role:

We are looking for a Delivery Director to lead and oversee strategic IT delivery operations, ensuring seamless project execution and alignment with business objectives.

Responsibilities:

Lead the strategy of transforming large enterprise-scale platforms across multiple industries from legacy implementation to modern architecture and tech stack.

Showcase innovation in building new solutions and transforming existing applications to more modern platforms.

Responsible for leading a project or solution team of developers, testers, engineers, and support associates to meet critical deliverables.

Provides thought leadership on program logic for new applications and existing applications.

Analyses requirements and enables the teams to architect the new solutions.

Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented.

Lead the evaluation of new and existing software products.

Develops client support plans for major projects.

Build capabilities in modern cutting-edge technologies required to modernize legacy applications and grow business with new clients.

Provide training and coaching as needed to teams modernizing and transforming applications.

Build high-performing teams across development, quality assurance, and infrastructure.

Provides technical oversight for technical estimates created with standards tools, portfolio Work Breakdown Structures, statements of work and industry standard estimating techniques.

This role champions development Best Practice and can clearly explain the issues around not following these processes as required.

Project Management, including project planning, resource planning, costing/estimation, risk management, project status and financial tracking and reporting. Meet defined business requirements in line with company strategic plans, targets, and objectives.

People Management, including goal setting, skill development and career development planning for team, effective resource utilization, attrition planning etc. Effective feedback management.

Create, Drive and Own improvement initiatives.

Stays current with information management / technology / IT Infrastructure industry, competitor and vendor strategies, technologies, and offerings. Conveys a high level of professionalism and a focused commitment to excellence.

Utilizes a collaborative working style that stresses teamwork and places the best interests of Unisys over individual and team objectives.

Client Relationship Management. Contribute to growth of business with existing clients and own/assist RFP/RFI bids.

Provide technical leadership and support to the team during solution architecting and design phases

Required Skills

University degree or equivalent experience

Advanced experience with enterprise-level software delivery and release management practices

Demonstrates effective Estimation, Costing, Financial Planning and Tracking, Resource Planning and Risk Management.

Expertise in a wide spectrum of IT technologies such as Microsoft stack/ Java based applications, DevOps concepts, Database concepts, Cloud Technologies, Containerization such as Kubernetes.

Experience in performing buy vs build analysis based on business requirements and perform vendor product evaluation.

Experience in delivering projects to agreed SLAs and Costs

Experience in timely reporting of status and risks to Senior Management

Experience in working fast paced dynamic work environment facing senior executives and external clients.

Experience in triaging live production issues and resolving the issues within SLA leveraging the DevOps ecosystem.

Ability to resolve complex problems with cost effective and innovative solutions.

Willingness to learn new technologies as the market evolves.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with good command over English language
